Reagan Ryder is a female artist working with a focus on abstraction and self-portraiture. Ryder creates her body of work through a blend of photographic and mixed media processes. By using both digital and analog techniques, She builds a proficient body of conceptual works about identity, intimacy, sensuality, and change.
With the use of personal symbolism and consistent thematic choices, Ryder has centered her work as a means to re-defining personal and societal definitions of spirituality, orientation, and love. She is especially interested in exploring her place within her spiritual, familial, and intimate relationships as the inevitability of change flourish in her life.
Ryder was originally based in rural Utah where she received an Associates degree in art as well as an Associate of Science. Ryder uses her unique perspective from living in the state to educate her work with the hopes of furthering her message of acceptance to others. Ryder now resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
