For Freedoms News is an artist-led reimagining of television news, piloted during a two-week residency at the Brooklyn Museum in advance of the 2022 midterm elections and at the 2022 Untitled Art Fair in Miami.

For Freedoms NEWS (FFN) is a news program as well as a live art installation, performance, conversation, and rallying cry from the For Freedoms ecosystem for creative civic participation in advance of the 2022 midterm elections.

Following its premiere at the Brooklyn Museum (October 28 - November 6, 2022), For Freedoms announces that For Freedoms News (FFN) will be presented in its second iteration at Untitled Art.

For Freedoms News Special Report News from the Inside - Brooklyn Museum

On stage at the Brooklyn Museum, Peña and Bain will coanchor a live show that includes a segment called “News from the Inside,” featuring an incarcerated correspondent reporting from prison.
For Freedoms is an artist-led organization that centers art as a catalyst for creative civic engagement, discourse and direct action.  Founded in 2016 by a coalition of artists including Hank Willis Thomas, Eric Gottesman, Michelle Woo, and Wyatt Gallery, For Freedoms is dedicated to fostering an environment of listening, healing, and justice through a wide range of creative engagement. For Freedoms works closely with a variety of artists, organizations, institutions and brands to expand what participation in a democracy looks like and reshape conversations about politics.
