On days like this, what gives me peace is knowing that people of conscience and courage are everywhere. Not only are we everywhere, but WE are the majority. We may not have the type of power we need yet, but as we organize, as we engage in transformational solidarity, and mutual aid, I know that we’ll get there. I designed this billboard, [displayed in Atlanta], because I believe in us. I want to celebrate us, and I want us to be reminded that we are not alone. Not in the U.S., not in Nigeria, not anywhere. People who are longing and working for a better world are in every corner of this planet. And because we’re here, there’s hope.
