We (TZ3) are artists who took part in a residency in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Over the month of August, we worked collaboratively on processing the isolation and alienation of this moment, while formulating creative responses to the social and political unrest we bore witness to both locally and globally. Imagery pulled from texts, signs, writings, and materials that were a part of our residency are reconfigured into a video reel. This reel generates new meaning and resonance as it is projected, at billboard size, onto buildings and surfaces throughout Honolulu. Just as the scale and look of this project is re-contextualized with each nightly projection, it is our intention for this work to grow and evolve as its locations and audiences do.
