I photographed my bedsheets and upon them placed the words “Breonna was sleeping”. This simple and haunting fact is intended to remind those who view this piece of the human within all of us. Whatever political rhetoric is spouted by whatever “side”, the fact will always remain that an innocent woman was sleeping in her bed, like we all do each night, and then this woman’s life was senselessly taken from her.
