Muna Malik is a visual artist based in Los Angeles. Malik's goal is to create cultural awareness and understanding using film and photography. She's devoted much of her time to documenting the lives of recent immigrants and women of color living in the United States. Malik strives to capture poetic imagery and narratives of people hidden in the margins of history, and her passion in art lies in her pursuit to create cultural awareness and understanding. Malik’s work has been exhibited at Northern Spark Arts Festival, MCAD, Artworks Chicago & The University of Minnesota - Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She was a featured billboard artist for North Carolina for the For Freedoms 50 State Initiative. Her work is currently on view at the Band of Vices Gallery in Los Angeles, CA.
