B.N. Blithe de Carona is a multidisciplinary, conceptually mixed media artist best known for her work in photography, collage and writing. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, her work reflects themes of Blackness, feminine identity, sexual exploration in the age of supreme exploitation and definitions of self. Though mostly self-taught, de Carona briefly studied sculpture and photography at Truman State University. She's currently based in her hometown, where she's focusing on the creation of a body of work titled, In Efforts: To Get Us Free.
