Where do we go from here? Art, Activism, and Information as Care Panel Discussion and Film Screening

In the lead up to a Supreme Court hearing on abortion pills and the pivotal Presidential election later in the year, this public Panel discussion at the MLK Library explored how can art influence public opinion, drive action, and reframe information as care. Where do we go from here? discussed art, activism, and information as care, featuring leading creative voices and advocates fighting for reproductive health and rights as well as screened the Plan C Documentary.With opening remarks by Plan C and moderated by For Freedoms Co-Founder Eric Gottesman, this discussion featured Autumn Breon (artist), Jasmine Wahi (Project for Empty Space), Jane Eklund (Amnesty International), Jess Jacobs (Plan C Documentary). “Where do we go from here? Art, Activism, and Information as Care” was presented by PLAN C in collaboration with For Freedoms, Amnesty Int USA, PLAN C Movie, and the MLK Library.

Plan C Pills is an ongoing partner and support of For Freedoms, Plan C is a public health creative campaign, started in 2015 by a small team of veteran public health advocates, researchers, social justice activists and digital strategists. Plan C transforms access to abortion in the US by normalizing the self-directed option of abortion pills by mail.
