UNCG For Freedoms Lawn Signs Project in NYC

UNCG For Freedoms Lawn Signs Project in NYC

Description

Along with professor Leah Sobsey and creative program director Adam Carlin, students from the University of North Carolina Greensboro will facilitate a lawn sign activation in Prospect Park. The signs feature portraits of Greensboro community members alongside quotes describing “a moment that they felt free in their life” or a moment “where their freedom was taken away.” During the event, they will also operate a mobile photo studio where New Yorkers are encouraged to add their portraits and perspectives to the initiative, creating a dialogue between Greensboro and New York. Participating students include: Peter Brown, James Claiborne, Fil Hernandez, Olivia Johnson, Victoria Landers, Irvin Maldonado, Tyrone Moon, Adam Perez, Tyler Rubio, Brittany Souder, and Louie Tangca.
