You're invited to join us for this special Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau Art of Black Miami Reception. Let's celebrate Miami Art Week and the vibrant diversity of Miami and Miami Beach's artistic and cultural landscape. As we mark our ninth anniversary, we're excited to feature the renowned conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas, who will share his multi-disciplinary practice, including public artworks in Miami. Thomas has a global reach and is included in collections from institutions like the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the International Center of Photography. His recent public art project, The Embrace (2023), pays homage to the King family, Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King. Hank recently received one of the Medal of Arts by the United States Department of State, Art in Embassies. We look forward to having you join us as we celebrate this year's art season and the art communities that serve as vital cultural catalysts for our destination.
