Blueprint Projects and the Waltham Public Library Teen Room are kicking off a month long series of youth focused, art and civic engagement activities with a lawn sign installation in partnership with the For Freedoms 50 State Initiative.
While most political decisions are being made by adults, these lawn signs displayed on the front lawn of the Waltham Public Library represent the hopes of Waltham’s teens for their lives, their communities, their country, and their world. We invite the community to take time to reflect on their thoughts and feelings, to consider the world they will inherit, and to familiarize themselves with the world they intend to create. These signs will be on display for the entire month of October.
This project was made possible by Waltham-based arts organization Blueprint Projects, by Real Talk—a youth-led conversation forum at the Waltham Public Library Teen Room supported by Rhyme and Reason Fund—with the help of our partners: the Waltham Boys & Girls Club the Waltham Partnership for Youth, and Waltham Public Schools.
